Rummy Cards

Rummy card games date back to the earliest annals of human civilization, perhaps dating all the way back to pre-historic times. Stories abound of how people would use a variety of tools, like bamboo flutes, to toss the cards around, in hopes of winning a prize or survival. The Classic rummy card game starts with each player sitting opposite another, alternately seating them in circles, on the corners of a large table. A player is declared to have an Ace in their hand, but before that, each player receives ten points. If any player receives more than ten points, they lose. It is important to note that aces are worth ten points, and that if you lose an aces to someone, you must buy another from the pack, at which point, all players receive ten more points.

The original rummy rules used ten cards, with one card per player, which was then later adopted by the WPT (Wizards Party) version. The WPT version plays three decks, with each deck consisting of twenty five cards. All players receive seven cards face down, to start.
